TL;DR
Aqualyx is a sodium deoxycholate-based injectable lipolytic. It ships ready-to-use — no reconstitution. Customers use a 30G needle (or fan cannula) for fan/grid subcutaneous injections. Total session: ~10–20 minutes per area.
What you'll need (materials)
- Vial of Aqualyx from Noki Labs
- 30G needle (13 mm) or 25G blunt cannula for fan technique
- 3 mL Luer-lock syringe
- Alcohol swabs (70% isopropyl) and gauze
- Surgical marker, anaesthetic cream (optional)
- Sharps container
Total time required
Prep + grid: ~5 minutes. Injection: ~10–15 minutes per area. Sessions are typically 3–4 weeks apart.
Step-by-step protocol
- Step 1 — Cleanse and mark. Cleanse the treatment area with 70% isopropyl and mark a 1.5 cm spaced grid.
- Step 2 — Optional anaesthesia. Apply topical anaesthetic for 20–30 minutes if tolerability is a concern.
- Step 3 — Sanitise the vial. Swab the rubber stopper and let it dry.
- Step 4 — Draw the solution. Pull the protocol volume — published guides commonly use 0.2–0.5 mL per point.
- Step 5 — Switch needle / cannula. Replace the draw needle with a fresh injection needle or cannula entry point.
- Step 6 — Inject subcutaneously. Pinch the skin, insert at 45° to mid-fat layer, aspirate, then inject slowly. Avoid muscle and superficial dermis.
- Step 7 — Cover the area. Move along the grid for even distribution. With a cannula, fan from one entry point.
- Step 8 — Pressure, ice, document. Apply gauze pressure, then a cold pack for 5–10 minutes. Photograph and log volume per zone.
Typical reference dosing range
Published technique guides describe up to 5–20 mL per session across larger areas like flanks or submentum, with a maximum vial volume per session noted in manufacturer instructions. Sessions are typically spaced 3–4 weeks apart, with 2–6 sessions per area depending on response. Always consult a licensed Philippine medical professional.
Storage
Store unopened at room temperature, away from light. Once a vial is opened it should be used immediately. See our peptide handling guide for shipping tips.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Injecting too superficially — risk of skin necrosis.
- Treating active infection or compromised skin.
- Skipping the cold-pack post-injection step.
- Re-treating before swelling fully resolves.
- Using on patients with bleeding disorders without clinician sign-off.
