TL;DR
Reconstituted glutathione is a master antioxidant studied for systemic redox support and skin radiance. It can be administered IM or IV (clinician-led) and reconstitutes from a lyophilised vial with sterile water. Total prep time: ~5 minutes.
What you'll need (materials)
- Vial of injectable glutathione from Noki Labs
- Sterile water for injection (single-use ampoule preferred for IV)
- Insulin syringe (1 mL) for IM or appropriate IV setup (clinician-led)
- Alcohol swabs (70% isopropyl) and gauze
- Sharps container
Total time required
Reconstitution: ~5 minutes. IM injection: ~2 minutes. IV push (clinician): 5–10 minutes.
Step-by-step protocol
- Step 1 — Bring the vial to room temperature. Take it out of the fridge for 5–10 minutes.
- Step 2 — Sanitise the vial stoppers. Swab the glutathione vial and the sterile water ampoule.
- Step 3 — Choose your reconstitution volume. Many users reconstitute a 600 mg vial with 4–5 mL sterile water for IM use, or per clinician's IV plan.
- Step 4 — Draw sterile water. Pull the volume into the syringe.
- Step 5 — Inject sterile water against the vial wall. Tilt 45°; never aim at the powder.
- Step 6 — Swirl gently. Roll until clear; never shake.
- Step 7 — Draw your dose. Re-sanitise, invert, draw the calculated volume.
- Step 8 — Inject IM or hand off for IV. IM: deltoid or glute, 90°, slow push. IV: clinician administered. Dispose of sharps and log.
Typical reference dosing range
Published reference dosing for glutathione varies widely. Common protocols describe 600–1,200 mg per session, 1–2 times per week, for antioxidant and skin-radiance support. Always consult a licensed Philippine medical professional. See the glutathione Philippines pillar for context. Note: at Noki Labs we frame glutathione protocols around antioxidant capacity and skin radiance — not whitening claims.
Storage after reconstitution
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C, upright, away from light. Use IV reconstitutions immediately. IM reconstitutions used within 28 days. Never freeze. See our cold-chain handling guide.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Mixing glutathione and vitamin C in the same syringe without clinician sign-off.
- Skipping IV training — only clinicians should run IV pushes.
- Confusing dosing units (mg vs mL) — read your label carefully.
- Repeating the same site — rotate.
FAQ
Q: Why frame this around radiance, not whitening? Glutathione's published research focus is antioxidant support and tyrosinase modulation, presenting as a radiance benefit — not a guaranteed whitening outcome. Compliance and accuracy matter to us.
Q: IM or IV — which absorbs better? IV bypasses GI and gives faster peak; IM is gentler and easier in at-home settings.
Q: How long are typical reference cycles? Many protocols run 4–12 weeks then reassess.
Q: Can it be combined with NAC or vitamin C? Some protocols stack antioxidants — always coordinate with your clinician.
